d The intercept indicates a systematic error — a small resistance for zero length of wire! This is probably caused by a poor contact between the crocodile clip and the wire at the zero end, giving rise to a small contact resistance. Although there will also be contact resistance between the movable clip and the wire, this will depend on how hard the clip is pressed against the wire, and so is more likely to give rise to random errors.
